HEN buzzed with energy in February, packed with events to help women entrepreneurs grow their businesses and connections.
Building on the momentum of January, this month delivered a dynamic blend of skill-sharpening sessions, collaborative networking opportunities, and inspiring live discussions
From mastering the art of branding to scaling businesses on Amazon, from Pune to Delhi and beyond the community of HEN members was buzzing with innovative ideas and concrete strategies for success.
1. HEN Events and Sessions
1.1. HEN – Lioness Magazine Networking Meet
HEN partnered with Lioness to help women entrepreneurs from USA and India to build connections across the borders and explore collaboration or learn from each others experiences.
Lioness is part of the Innovation Women network of companies. Innovation Women is a mission-based organization designed to elevate, educate, learn from and support female entrepreneurs, innovators and leaders.
- Showcase their business to fellow entrepreneurs.
- Share what problem were they solving for your customers?
- Explore potential partnerships and collaborations.
- Ask for a connection or a support that will add value to their business
This meeting was open to the first 15-20 women entrepreneurs from USA and India.
1.2. The Secret Language of Brands
HEN Member Gunjan Pai led a case study workshop is an intensive session designed to help our HEN Members understand how companies define and articulate themselves as a brand.
Gunjan, founder of Copylove is a first-generation creative entrepreneur with 20+ years of work experience,
Through this session we learned how brands develop their brand voice, create brand guidelines, and build brand consistency.
It covered various topics related to brand in details:
- How to define brand language?
- Formal vs. informal.
- Friendly vs. authoritative tone.
- Humorous vs. serious brand sense.
- Sourcing or referencing.
- Building your dictionary.
- Real life Applications.
1.3. The Business Model Canvas
This hands-on workshop was organised to explore the Business Model Canvas, a powerful tool used by entrepreneurs and businesses worldwide to develop and validate their business ideas.
The session was led by HEN member Neetu V Bansal, founder of BusinessKaryas, a business mentor and coach.
The learnings from this workshop were:
- The nine building blocks of the Business Model Canvas
- How to apply the Business model Canvas to your own business idea
- Learn from a real-life case study of a successful business that used the Business Model Canvas to achieve success
1.4. Sell Smart, Scale Fast: Your Guide to Thriving on Amazon.in
HEN organised an exclusive HEN-Amazon workshop where our D2C entrepreneurs learned how to leverage the power of Amazon.in to sell smart and scale fast.
Kashish Diwan, Partnership Associate Amazon India guided us through the essentials of selling and scaling on Amazon.in.
The main aspects covered in the session were:
- Understand the compelling reasons to sell on India’s largest online marketplace.
- Learn about Amazon’s initiatives designed to empower women entrepreneurs.
- Discover the core elements for success on Amazon.in, including building a high-quality catalog, leveraging Prime tags, ensuring affordability, and running effective advertising campaigns.
- Gain insights into effective pricing strategies specifically for the Indian market.
2. HEN Tuesdays
2.1. Why Your Business Feels Stuck—And How to Fix It
This session was led by HEN member Neetu V Bansal, founder of BusinessKaryas, a business mentor and coach with single point focus – for us to reflect and realise what is holding ourselves and determine one framework that could help us solve the same.
We answered 3 specific questions individually to derive a solution –
1. What is one thing I can out source / automate?
2. What is 1 recurring challenge that if solved will get me time and reduce stress?
3. What is that 1 process in business that could be standardised and save me time?
We also learnt about #GSAR model!
2.2. Lead Generation Strategies
On this HEN Tuesday we dove deep into lead generation strategies for education businesseslike language centers, coaching institutes, Texas consultancy, sell art workshops (beyond Meta ads!), and more ….
Key takeaways form this session was:
1. clarifying value propositions,
2. leveraging Google & LinkedIn, and exploring creative content strategies.
3. HEN Night Adda
3.1. Discussion on Strategies to Expand Globally
HEN Member Vanitha Choudhari, a seasoned leadership coach and facilitator, looking to grow RadicalEdge Learning Consultants in Nepal, Maldives, Canada, USA, and Sri Lanka wanted to connect with fellow entrepreneurs to exchange insights on tapping international markets.
She requested for a discussion on strategies to expand globally.
The discussions were based on building strong local partnerships, navigating cultural nuances, and leveraging digital platforms.
4. HEN Online and Offline Networking Meets
Virtual and offline Meets build meaningful connections, learn from each other’s experiences, and explore exciting collaborations.
Networking Meets are opportunities for entrepreneurs to increase their circle of influence and this meeting was no different!
They provide a platform to build meaningful connections, learn from each other’s experiences, and explore exciting collaborations.
4.1. HEN Pune Networking Meet at Brewbox Blend Cafe, Erandwane
We recently hosted our first in-person meet-up for women entrepreneurs in Pune, and it was a resounding success!
The event provided a platform for participants to connect, collaborate, and grow their businesses.
Led by Neha Parmar, Tenaz Cardoz, and Swinal S, the meeting featured a round table introduction where everyone shared their business stories, followed by open networking sessions.
Overall, the event was a great step forward in fostering a strong network of women entrepreneurs in Pune.
4.2. HEN Office Hours Workshop at Whitefield, Bangalore
It was a full-day of focused work, inspiring connections, and collaborative brainstorming.
We provided a dedicated workspace where participants could work alongside fellow entrepreneurs in a productive and inspiring co-working environment.
Throughout the day, we encouraged everyone to unleash their creativity by bringing their current projects, ideas, and challenges to the table.
4.3. HEN Delhi Networking Meet at Thanks & Beyond, Nehru Place
Led by Priyanka Changia and Raghvi Khurana, the HEN Delhi meet fostered a dynamic atmosphere where women entrepreneurs could connect, collaborate, and inspire one another.
The event provided a supportive and collaborative environment where participants could share their experiences, challenges, and aspirations, empowering each other to grow.
Key highlights included building lasting relationships that will fuel future entrepreneurial endeavors, unlocking new avenues for collaboration to propel businesses forward, and showcasing innovative work through product samples and marketing materials.
These local gatherings are invaluable for #HENmembers.
